You may be able to take classes at Pima Community College or another school that count toward your University of Arizona degree.

Eligibility Requirements

  • You are in good academic standing (2.0 cumulative GPA for undergraduates).
  • For fall/spring concurrent enrollment, you must be enrolled full-time at U of A.
  • You cannot do concurrent enrollment if the classes at the other school end after your I-20 end date.

Apply for Concurrent Enrollment

Submit the Concurrent Enrollment e-form. to request approval to take classes at another school while maintaining your University of Arizona I-20.

  4. Register for classes at any Pima campus except Davis-Monthan Air Force Base.
    • Placement tests may be required for Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Reading, Writing, or Math classes before you can enroll.

If applying to another school:

  1. We will review your request and email you an approval if eligible.
  2. Contact the school’s admissions office directly for details about their application process and how to register for classes.

Special Considerations for Sponsored Students

Approval for concurrent enrollment is specific to the class. You must provide your academic advisor’s contact information in the e-form so they can confirm that the classes will transfer back and satisfy degree requirements. Depending on your sponsor, we may need authorization from your sponsor to approve your request.

If you would like Pima to bill your Sponsor directly, complete the Pima Affidavit of Support and request a financial guarantee letter addressed specifically to Pima.
