As a Global Studies major, you can satisfy your International Immersion Requirement by spending a summer, semester, or academic year at UA Aix-En-Provence, hosted by our partner, the Institute for American Universities (IAU)! Located along the French coast of the Mediterranean Sea, students will get to experience Provençal culture in an intimate setting while still enjoying the elegance and amenities of a large metropolis. Students studying for a semester should expect to enroll in at least one French language course, which could be beneficial in helping you satisfy your second language requirement. If you do not have previous French language experience, you are still encouraged to study at UA Aix-en-Provence and can enroll in a beginners’ level French course. The rest of your courses will be taught in English.
