Description: The US Dept. of State’s Benjamin Gilman International Scholarship is a grant program that has been successful in supporting students who have been historically underrepresented in education abroad, including but not limited to first-generation college students, veteran students, ethnic or racial minority students, students with disabilities, and students attending minority-serving institutions. Allison Feldman Memorial Study Abroad Scholarship

Description: University of Arizona graduate and Study Abroad alumna Allison Feldman passed away at 31 years old. Her family and friends created an endowment in her name to memorialize her transformative study abroad experience in Alcalá de Henares, Spain, in 2004. Her father encouraged Allison to study abroad, and says she returned to the U.S. more confident, excited about life, and a fluent Spanish speaker. He and Allison’s mother, along with close friends, hope to honor her memory by providing study abroad opportunities to deserving University of Arizona students.
