Studying abroad as a Human Development & Family Science major will allow you to become immersed in a new environment and culture, gaining first-hand experience looking at social and cultural development from different perspectives. Through the UA Barcelona program hosted by our partner institution, Institute for American Universities (IAU), you’ll build intercultural competencies essential for working with diverse families and communities, all while taking courses in English. You’ll also gain personal independence and confidence as you challenge yourself to get outside of your comfort zone by experiencing all the people, places, and ideas that Mediterranean Spain has to offer.
