History

Global Track Location

Explore the charming and historical South of France by studying abroad at UA Aix-en-Provence, hosted by Institute for American Universities (IAU). Aix-en-Provence is full of beautiful fountains, many of which are centuries old. The city was founded by the Roman Republic in 123 BC! You’ll have the chance to study alongside other students from around the world.

When you study abroad at UA Aix-en-Provence, in the fall or spring semester you will be required to take at least one French language course. Previous French language is not required before the start of your program, so whether you are proficient in French or are just starting out, UA Aix-en-Provence will have a perfect course for your level. Additional courses are taught in English and availability can be subject to change.
