Thinking about studying abroad but not sure how it would actually fit your budget, degree, timeline, or life? This session is the place to start—even if study abroad is still just a “maybe.”

In about an hour, we’ll help you understand what’s possible and answer some of the biggest questions students have when planning to go abroad:

  • Can I afford it? Learn how to compare program costs, use financial aid, and explore scholarships.
  • Where would I live? Get an introduction to housing and what day-to-day life abroad can look like.
  • When do I need to start? Learn about application timelines and how much time you’ll need to plan and prepare.
  • Will it work with my degree? Explore how major, minor, Gen Ed, elective, internship, and research credit can fit into study abroad.
  • Am I eligible—and what does getting accepted look like? We’ll explain the basics and make the process easier to understand.
  • How do I choose the right program? Learn how to narrow down destinations and programs based on your goals, academics, budget, and interests.

You don’t need to know where you want to go, have traveled before, or have everything figured out before you come. Exploring your options is part of the process. Bring your questions and leave with a clearer idea of what your next step could be.

These sessions are designed for students in the interest or planning stages of study abroad. If you’ve already applied, we can answer general application questions. Students with an open application are also encouraged to contact their Study Abroad Coordinator through the application portal.

This session will be held at the UA Global Center, in the Global Center Lounge on the 1st Floor.
