With a career spanning over a decade at the University of Arizona, Sergio is an accomplished professional currently serving as the Associate Director of International Admissions since September 2011. In this role, he leads the International Processing Team, revolutionizing processing procedures and reducing timeframes from 12 to 2.5 weeks. Tasked with hiring and training, Sergio ensures comprehensive evaluation processes align with UArizona and Arizona Board of Regents guidelines. 

Prior to this, as the Assistant Director from August 2011 to September 2014, Sergio supervised international recruitment specialists, contributing to increased international student enrollment. His responsibilities included developing marketing campaigns, networking with admissions professionals nationally. Earlier in his career, Sergio served as an International Recruitment Specialist from September 2006 to August 2011, handling application processing, coordinating training, and serving as the main contact for embassies and sponsoring agencies. Before specializing in international admissions, Sergio dedicated two years as a Minority Student Recruiter, empowering underserved minority students to pursue higher education. His diverse experiences encompass outreach, communication planning, recruitment, and admissions processing, demonstrating a commitment to fostering global education and inclusivity.
