Ricky Salazar joined Arizona International in February 2022 and currently serves as Senior Director for Central and South Asia Affairs. He began his career at the University of Arizona in November 2012, holding multiple leadership roles focused on international education, program and curriculum development, enrollment management, and student recruitment.

In his current role, Salazar leads the development and management of international partnerships with government agencies, private sector organizations, and higher education institutions across Central and South Asia. His portfolio includes oversight of existing microcampus collaborations in India and Kazakhstan, as well as the creation of new strategic initiatives in the region.

Salazar earned his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Arizona in 2002 and his Master’s in Higher Education from the University of Arizona in 2025. A passionate basketball fan, he has been a proud season ticket holder for Arizona Basketball for more than 20 years.
