Hillary Vance is the Assistant Dean for Research and Development in the office of Global Partnerships and Initiatives. She supports international research and industry partnerships and the development of new programs and initiatives globally. She previously developed and managed the UA’s microcampus partnerships in Southeast Asia, including locations in Cambodia, Indonesia, and Vietnam. Hillary joined the University of Arizona’s international office in 2013. She spent three years on site in Cambodia managing the UA Phnom Penh microcampus and other regional partners.

Hillary earned her BA from Rutgers University in History and Middle Eastern Studies with a minor in Political Science, her MEd from Lehigh University in Globalization and Educational Change with a certificate in International Development in Education, and her PhD in Higher Education from the University of Arizona. Her dissertation was focused on US transnational higher education in Cambodia. Hillary has taught the course "HED 619: Higher Education Across the World" for the UA’s graduate program in Higher Education. Prior to working at the University of Arizona, she worked for an education NGO in Cambodia.
