With my personal experience as an exchange student in high school (The Netherlands) and my undergraduate degree in Business and International Management I apply my passion for globalization to my everyday life as an International Enrollment Counselor. I speak 5 languages: English, Dutch, German, Brazilian Portuguese, and Spanish and I enjoy learning about new cultures in my personal and professional life. My main goal is to live on all seven continents, and I have lived on three so far!

My favorite thing about UArizona

The University of Arizona is a major intellectual hub and a true big university experience. I was amazed when I first arrived in Tucson and saw the beautiful UA campus. This is a truly magical place with endless opportunities for students that work hard.

My recommendations for places international students should explore in Tucson

I recommend every person that is new to Tucson check out the downtown area and the botanical gardens (there are two). I also highly recommend Saguaro National Park and planning a trip to Mt. Lemmon. Even if you're not into the outdoors, there's plenty to explore!

My top tip for success at a U.S. university

Every student goes through their ups and downs while studying at a university. You are not alone, and you should lean on your friends, family, and instructors to get you through this intense experience. It's OK to ask for help!
