Bruce Wang

Senior Director for Asian Engagement

Born and raised in Beijing, China, Bruce (Feng) Wang is a former international student and a firm believer in the power of international education to transform individuals into ambassadors of positive change who possess linguistic competencies, cultural understanding, and the ability to thrive in a complex global environment. Before joining the University of Arizona, Wang spent more than a decade of his professional career at Northern Arizona University (NAU), where he held several positions, the most recent of which was Director of Asian Academic Engagement since 2016.

Wang established a strong foothold for NAU’s engagement across Asia, including deep institutional partnerships, the university’s signature dual-degree programs that tripled Asian student enrollment, a diverse portfolio of innovative initiatives, a branch office in Beijing since 2013, and NAU’s first overseas joint campus in Shanghai which further advanced the institution's global enrollment growth.

Wang earned his bachelor’s degree in Finance and Marketing at NAU’s W.A. Franke College of Business where he was selected as the student representative to meet Warren Buffett, and a master’s degree in Educational Psychology. He is currently pursuing his MBA degree at the University of Arizona's Eller College of Management.
