Members of the International Admissions and International Education teams wrote over 100 thank-you letters to campus partners who have supported the enrollment and success of international students.

In a heartfelt gesture of appreciation, the University of Arizona International Admissions and International Education teams recently wrote over 100 thank-you letters to campus partners who have supported the enrollment and success of international students. The effort was a campus-wide celebration of the incoming international class and the collective work that goes into their successful enrollment.

"This is an opportunity to recognize that enrolling and supporting international students is truly a campus-wide effort," Van Wyk said. "While our team works on international student enrollment year-round, there are hundreds of staff members across campus who contribute in meaningful ways."

Personalized cards acknowledged the contributions of campus staff who assist with international enrollment.

From financial aid officers to academic advisors and system support staff, campus partners are essential in ensuring a smooth transition for international students. "We wanted to show our appreciation for the cultural awareness, kindness, and understanding our colleagues bring to these students' experiences," Van Wyk said.

The personalized letters acknowledged the contributions of over 100 staff members who assist with various aspects of international enrollment. Whether by offering guidance through financial aid, facilitating academic advising, or providing behind-the-scenes system support, their efforts help make the U of A a welcoming place for students from around the world.

"To every person on campus who has interacted with an international student and made them feel welcome - thank you," Van Wyk said. “We don’t always see you or know, but your behavior makes a difference in our students’ lives, and we are grateful for the support.”

This thoughtful initiative highlights the importance of collaboration in creating a supportive environment for international students, reinforcing the U of A's commitment to fostering a global campus community.
