ARH 480/580: Topics in Art History: Imagining Italy-The West and the Classical Tradition

Dr. Paul Ivey. This course examines the development of art and architecture in relationship to ideals of the classical era in Greece and Rome, and their reimagination and legitimation in the Renaissance, the Grand Tour of the 18th century, 19th Century America, and 20th Century Fascism. There are no pre-requisites for this course.
