Ludmila joined the University of Arizona as a Program Director in February 2020 and has since served as a key liaison between sponsoring embassies, agencies, and the campus community. Her role focuses on building and maintaining strong relationships while assisting Sponsored Students with their unique needs.

Originally from Turkmenistan, she moved to the United States in 2001. Before joining the University of Arizona, Ludmila worked in Washington, DC, for a non-governmental organization, managing the programmatic and financial aspects of federal and privately funded programs. This experience instilled in her a deep understanding of international collaboration and a passion for promoting educational exchange.

Ludmila holds a Master of Science in Development Management from the American University in Washington, DC. Outside of work, she finds joy in spending quality time with my family and cultivating new gardening skills by adapting to the challenges and rewards of the desert landscape.
