International Student Spotlight - Sok Panhadavid
It is difficult to complete a university degree with Academic Distinction. It is even more difficult to earn a Dual Degree with the perfect 4.0-grade point average. Sok Panhadavid graduated with a 4.0 GPA from the University of Arizona’s Eller College of Management. We asked him to share his experience with us.
The dual degree program is an intense yet rewarding learning experience. As courses only last for 7 weeks, the program has taught me how to multitask and manage my time efficiently. Moreover, the weekly assignments given by the UA professors were critical, required great teamwork, and needed cooperation between all the group members.
Eller courses and assignments are indeed overwhelming at times. But if I can do it, you certainly can too. Try to break down your weekly works into smaller daily tasks and work your way through. You can also work together with your friends on these smaller tasks and explain different concepts to each other to make sure they are well-understood. Lastly, do not be afraid to ask questions. If you have any doubts or concerns about any of the lessons, please reach out to your respective global lecturer to clear it all up. All in all, collaborative learning is the key to success in all UA classes.
My two-year experience with this dual degree program is absolutely worth the time, money, and effort spent on it.
In November of 2021, Sok Panhadavid visited our main campus to attend the in-person graduation ceremony organized by Eller College of Management for the class of 2020.
