Free Fulbright Workshop to Take Place in Tucson

Fulbright Alumni Ambassador Amy Werbel will conduct a presentation on the Fulbright Scholar Program on September 18 at Pima Community College, and those affiliated with the University of Arizona are invited to attend. During the workshop, Werbel, an associate professor at the Fashion Institute of Technology, will share her experiences as a Fulbright Scholar to China from 2011 to 2012. Scholars such as Werbel return to their campuses with new perspectives on their fields and fresh ideas for further international engagement.

Faculty and administrators who attend the workshop will learn about the benefits of Fulbright and the impact it can have personally and professionally. The free workshop will take place at Pima Community College, West Campus on Monday, September 18 at noon. Pima’s West Campus is located at 2202 W. Anklam Rd., Tucson, AZ 85709. Parking is FREE. The workshop will be in room A-G19 by the cafeteria.

The Fulbright Ambassador Program trains and utilizes a select group of Fulbright Scholar alumni from the full spectrum of U.S. academic disciplines, higher education institutions, and geographic regions to serve as representatives for the Fulbright Scholar Program at campus workshops and academic conferences across the United States.
