The competitive SILLC Global Award Fund benefits Arizona undergraduate students in good standing who are declared majors in any of the SILLC disciplines.

Must be a declared major in any of the following SILLC disciplines (minors are not eligible):

• Africana Studies
• Classics
• East Asian Studies
• French 
• German Studies
• Italian 
• Religious Studies 
• Religious Studies for Health Professionals
• Russian

The US Dept. of State’s Benjamin Gilman International Scholarship is a grant program that has been successful in supporting students who have been historically underrepresented in education abroad, including but not limited to first-generation college students, veteran students, ethnic or racial minority students, students with disabilities, and students attending minority-serving institutions. Scholarship amounts range from $100-$5,000 depending on need and expense of Study Abroad program chosen.

All eligible students who successfully complete an application to the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship will also receive a $750 Gilman Application for Travel Opportunity (GATO) Award from Arizona International Study Abroad towards a future international experience on an eligible study abroad program (eligible programs include Faculty-led, Exchange or Arizona Abroad Locations)!
