Phi Kappa Phi Study Abroad Grants are designed to help support undergraduates as they seek knowledge and experience in their academic fields by studying abroad.
NSCS offers 26 different national scholarship opportunities throughout the spring, summer, and fall, and each chapter also offers additional opportunities. NSCS also offers exclusive opportunities through our study abroad and internship partners, including Semester at Sea, International Scholar Laureate Program (ISLP), and Absolute Internship. NSCS has scholarships available for our online, community college, and alumni members, and international students are eligible to apply as well.
Any student currently enrolled in an American institution who wants to study abroad in the Fall or Spring can apply to the scholarship.
The Gilman-McCain Scholarship provides awards of $5,000 for child and spousal dependents of active or activated United States military personnel.

The US Dept. of State’s Benjamin Gilman International Scholarship is a grant program that has been successful in supporting students who have been historically underrepresented in education abroad, including but not limited to first-generation college students, veteran students, ethnic or racial minority students, students with disabilities, and students attending minority-serving institutions. Scholarship amounts range from $100-$5,000 depending on need and expense of Study Abroad program chosen.

All eligible students who successfully complete an application to the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship will also receive a $750 Gilman Application for Travel Opportunity (GATO) Award from Arizona International Study Abroad towards a future international experience on an eligible study abroad program (eligible programs include Faculty-led, Exchange or Arizona Abroad Locations)!
The Fund for Education Abroad (FEA) invests in deserving U.S. undergraduates who are least likely to study abroad. FEA considers financial need, demographic factors, and academic plan and preparedness to decide scholarship recipients.

University of Arizona CMES annually awards Title VI Foreign Language and Area Studies (FLAS) Fellowships in Arabic, Hebrew, Persian, and Turkish to students at the University of Arizona in any program who are pursuing Middle Eastern language and area studies.
