As the Director of International Contract Management at Arizona International, Sama oversees the negotiation, execution, and enforcement of contracts with non-US parties related to UA’s global initiatives as well as compliance matters related to such contracts. Sama works closely with AZI leadership, OGC, Risk Management, Procurement, and other internal and external subject matter experts. Hailing from Chicago where she received her JD in 2001, Sama is an Illinois licensed attorney with varied experience in litigation, transactional law, and higher education procurement and research contracting. Though she’s lived many years abroad as an expat in Europe, SE Asia and the Middle East, she’s thrilled to call Arizona home since 2015 and to be a part of the UA community since February of 2024.
