During International Education Week, the 2025 Study Abroad Photo Contest gave us a glimpse into the exciting adventures and new cultures students explored during their time abroad. In this annual contest, we invited students who studied abroad in 2025 to share their favorite photos from their travels around the globe. From breathtaking landscapes to historical buildings and traditional food, we received hundreds of submissions that captured our wildcat’s most meaningful moments.

Students submitted photos to three categories that highlighted different aspects of the study abroad experience.

Theme 1: “You and a View”
Theme 2: “Cultures in Action”
Theme 3: “The World is your Classroom”

Please join us in congratulating our winners for each theme!

“It was my first time kayaking, and I was shocked by the breathtaking natural cliffs and deep turquoise waters of the Verdon River flowing between these towering walls!”

Theme 2: Cultures in Action

Camel Friend

Dylann Sweeney

“We had the opportunity to take a weekend trip to Marrakesh, Morocco, and take part in a camel ride through the Sahara Desert. My tour guide went above and beyond to take pictures of us, and captured this sweet picture of my camel and I when we took a break in our ride through the sand.”

Theme 3: The World is your Classroom

Jurassic Park

Hannah Allred

"This hike was a physical manifestation of the mental resilience I developed while studying abroad. Just like navigating a new culture away from home, these demanding steps taught me that the biggest personal growth happens when you commit to the climb, even when the path ahead is obscured by mist."

Congratulations to our winners and thank you to everyone who participated! The Study Abroad Team enjoyed experiencing the world through each student’s unique perspective.
