Announcing the Fall 2021 Study Abroad Fair Scholarship Raffle Winner
UA sophomore Valeria M. will receive $1000 towards a study abroad program of her choice.

Valeria was one of 2,000+ participants in the study abroad week events, which took place September 20–24, 2021, during which students were entered into the scholarship raffle by participating in fair week events. The drawing took place after the Party at Global event on Friday, September 24.
Valeria is well on her way to achieving both study abroad-related and career goals! On being awarded the scholarship, Valeria says:
“I hope to study abroad at Alcalá de Henares, Spain, during the summer session of 2022 to complete my Spanish major requisites. I am a sophomore, double majoring in Spanish and biomedical studies in the pre-dental track. As a latina/hispanic woman my hopes of studying abroad are to discover, explore and interact with their different culture and lifestyle. Also, I hope to improve my language and communication skills in Spanish because one of my long term goals is to provide my service as a dentist to low income latino/hispanic families.”
