Having experienced the transformative power of international education firsthand, and as a scholar of international higher education for more than two decades, I believe deeply in the impact global engagement can have on individuals, their families, and their communities.
Today’s most pressing challenges do not stop at physical borders. Addressing them requires us to connect people, ideas, and expertise across cultures and countries. International experiences broaden our perspectives, help us work across differences, and create new opportunities for learning, discovery, and collaboration.

Arizona International serves as a hub for global engagement at the University of Arizona. We build and strengthen international partnerships that expand opportunities for students and faculty, advance globally connected research, and create lasting benefits for Arizona and our partners around the world.
We are working to make global learning an integral part of the U of A student experience, whether through study abroad, international programs, cross-cultural learning, or the perspectives international students and scholars bring to our university. At the same time, we connect U of A researchers and faculty with partners around the world to advance shared priorities and address challenges that require international cooperation.
Our work is guided by a simple idea: global engagement should be an essential part of how the University of Arizona supports student success, advances research that shapes the future, and creates opportunity with communities in Arizona and around the world.
