The School of Global Studies at the University of Arizona is now accepting applications for the Michael Bonine Memorial Travel & Research Award, which supports students pursuing meaningful international travel related to research or academic enrichment.

Deadline: April 11, 2026 (11:59 PM)

For Graduate Students:
Graduate students are eligible if they are planning summer travel to support thesis or dissertation research, including fieldwork or library/archive work. Applicants must be enrolled in or affiliated with the Middle Eastern & North African Studies (MENAS) program.

• Letter of recommendation

This award supports undergraduates planning international summer travel that contributes to their education or research. Preference is given to students in good academic standing, those pursuing “off-the-beaten-path” experiences, and students with demonstrated financial need.
