Study Abroad
Students may complete the program entirely in India or study abroad at the Tucson, Arizona campus in the U.S. for a summer or a semester. Qualified students also have the opportunity to apply for a lab internship at the UA main campus. The palm-tree lined campus is known as one of the most beautiful in the country. The surrounding city features hiking, concerts, and world-class dining.

Academics
The master's in immunobiology program is a unique program encompassing basic and clinical immunology, basic and clinical infectious diseases (including virology, bacteriology, mycology and parasitology), mechanisms of vaccines, molecular medicine and pathophysiology of immunologic and infectious diseases. The goal of the program is to educate and train students in the area of immunobiology so they are recruited as future scientists and academicians at institutions of higher studies, researchers and specialists in the growing pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, and further obtain healthcare professional degrees (M.D., D.O, DDS, etc.) to meet the future demand of global healthcare needs. The Immunobiology master's program is multidisciplinary in nature and offers course work and research in the areas immunologic, autoimmune and infectious diseases, vaccine and immunotherapy development strategies, molecular and genomic medicine and immunology of aging.

Career Outcomes
Career outcomes include a biomedical Ph.D., M.D, D.O. and other health related professional career, or employment in the research arena, including universities, pharmaceutical industries, biotechnology companies.

Campus
Nestled in the picturesque village of Vallikavu, across the beautiful and famed backwaters of Kerala, is Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham's Amritapuri campus, blending into the natural setting of the environment with its endless stretches of coconut palm groves. The Arabian Sea that borders Kerala on the west is only a few hundred meters from the campus.
