Université Jean Moulin – Lyon 3 was founded in 1974 and is home to over 20,000 students. Lyon 3 is comprised of three campuses featuring a Law School, a Business and Management School, a College of Foreign Languages, a College of Humanities, and a College of Philosophy.
Undergraduate students have the option of taking courses in French through the DEUF Program: Diplôme d'Etudes Universitaires Françaises or in English through the SELF Program: Study English in Lyon France. Click here for a comparative chart detailing the two program possibilities. Both SELF and DEUF offer specially tailored coursework for international exchange students.
Participants in both SELF and DEUF must enroll in the following two courses:
Additionally, SELF students enroll in 4 other courses of their choosing from the list here (scroll to 'Course offering' section) for a total of 31 credits; DEUF students may choose from these courses for a total of 36 credits.
Students with very advanced proficiency in French may also enroll in 'regular' university courses alongside local students.
Law graduate students may pursue Lyon 3's LLM program in international and European Law. Please email Ernestina Taleb at etaleb@email.arizona.edu for more information and application instructions.
