We created the Global Wildcat Guide to connect students with resources in Tucson and the University of Arizona. You may also refer international students needing academic support to the Academic Resources and Tips section within the manual. In certain cases, immigration regulations allow students to request an exemption to full-time enrollment due to academic difficulty. Please consult with an international student advisor for more information.
Supporting International Students
We encourage international students to be engaged outside of the classroom by joining clubs and participating in our many year-round programs and events. ISS can also connect students to various international student clubs on campus. For a more personal experience, we offer two matching programs to learn about American culture. The Global Ambassador and Buddy Program connect students to other American students; International Friends pairs students with an American family or host.
During the tax filing season, international students can request access to GLACIER Tax Prep to prepare their tax returns. ISS hosts informational sessions to provide an overview of the tax filing process. Keep in mind that as University of Arizona employees, ISS staff are not permitted to provide personal assistance with the completion of tax forms. More information can be found under Taxes.
