Sam is a Study Abroad Coordinator supporting programs in Europe and Central Asia. He assists students, faculty, and institutional partners on programs in Germany, Italy, and Greece, and his portfolio also includes the Honors Study Abroad programs and summer programs in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. Before joining Study Abroad, Sam worked with Student Engagement and Career Development, helping students develop leadership and career skills. Prior to moving to Tucson, Sam received his BA and MSEd at Baylor University. As Graduate Apprentice for Baylor University’s housing department, Sam supported living-learning communities, maintained faculty partnerships, and trained resident advisors. Sam enjoys teaching, helping students solve problems, and supporting students as they undertake new and exciting experiences. In his free time, Sam enjoys writing, reading, and discussing literature, philosophy, and history. Sam is also fond of research and is particularly interested in how culture and relationships encourage us to treat others with kindness and respect.
